The largest bicycle fair in Italy, Bike Festival, will be fully accessible for people with disabilities from 2024. This is confirmed by the ACS certification that the fair has received on behalf of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
The Bike Festival in Riva (Italy) is one of the largest bicycle fairs in the world. At this event, over 350 brands are present and more than 1500 bicycles can be tested. Adapted bicycles are also a part of the fair. In collaboration with, among others, Remoove, space has also been created at the fair where adapted bicycles can be tested. Bike Festival will take place in 2024 from May 2 to May 5.
In 2024, the Bike Festival received an ACS certificate on behalf of the Autonomous Province of Trento. The ACS certification stands for ‘Accessibilità per tutti – Certificazione di Accessibilità’ (in Englisch: Accessibility for All - Accessibility Certification). It is a certification system for the accessibility of buildings, public spaces, and events for people with disabilities. The ACS certificate is awarded to places that meet specific accessibility criteria, such as the presence of ramps, wide door openings, adapted sanitary facilities, and so on. The purpose of ACS certification is to ensure that people with disabilities can fully participate in various activities and facilities.
